Softball has been part of Stephanie Kleiner’s life for more than 30 years – it is a lifelong passion. She has both played and coached at highly competitive levels and brings more than a decade of coaching experience to Indiana Magic Gold. Excelling at player development, game preparation, and in-game strategy, Stephanie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and played travel ball for 9 years traveling all over the US. While playing for Deerfield High School (Deerfield, IL) Stephanie earned All-Conference and All-State Honors in Softball as a junior and senior. Stephanie was a pitcher and outfielder while in high school. Following in family footsteps, she attended Indiana University, and while there she earned the honor of walking on the Indiana University Softball team. Professionally Stephanie became a school teacher.

While working for Indiana Primetime Sports, Stephanie started their softball program. She started there with one team and grew the program two 8 teams in 4 years. During her time with Primetime, Stephanie was responsible for the overall running of the program including; training development, working with pitchers and catchers, schedule planning, and developed Women in Sports events. Stephanie also was a director for their camps and preschool programs serving close to 1000 children in the Indianapolis area each school year.

In the winter of 2017, Stephanie made the move to the Indiana Dreams Organization to take on the role of Softball Director. During her time working with the Indiana Dreams Stephanie developed their current recruitment platform and worked on website development. While working with the Indiana Dreams Organization was a great opportunity and experience for Stephanie, the opportunity to work with IMG was something she couldn’t pass up.

Stephanie has coached at the PGF and Showcase level throughout her career. She takes the time to attend various coaching clinics in the Midwest. After teaching in the elementary classroom, Stephanie chose to continue her “teaching” on the field instead of in the classroom. Stephanie gives fielding and pitching lessons at Roundtripper Training Academy in Westfield, IN. Coaching is a full time career for Stephanie now and we look forward to welcoming her to the IMG family.
